The Storm just put out this press release:

Charlottetown - The Island Storm announced today they've released center Nick Evans from his player contract, following a serious violation of team policy.

Evans, a 6'11" center, was in his second season with the Storm.

Island Storm Head Coach Joe Salerno says holds his players to a certain accountability when they sign with an organization as professional as the Storm. "We value the character of all our players, and hold them to high standards. We take our team policies and player conduct seriously, and expect our players to abide by these while playing for our organization. We appreciate the time and effort Nick has put in for the Storm, and wish him all the best in his future endeavors."

Anyone have any insight as to what the "serious violation of team policy" was?

Well, it seems that he's joined the Express and he's doing fine with them. I have no idea what he could've done to the Storm.
