Kingston, ON
If you remember, Kingston was to be a charter member of the NBL in 2011(as was Barrie), but for some reason it fell through at the last minute. I seem to remember the reasoning being that the city of Kingston wasn't sure about spending money on fronting the cash for a court etc at the K Rock Centre.
With the first season in the books and season two about to get underway with expansion to Windsor, I have to wonder if Kingston is second guessing their original hesitation on jumping on the NBL wagon.
In my opinion, Kingston would be a perfect fit for the NBL, we just need an owner to step forward here in the Limestone City.
Anyone else think it's only a matter of time before the NBL comes to Kingston?

Oh yes, I should agree. The NBLC isn't that expensive and they could get more money out of it with accessories. There is a new NBL shop which could come in handy for them.

Did you read or hear that somewhere? I've sure got my fingers crossed that an ownership group steps up for next season. I still can't believe a team here fell through in 2011!

I feel that the league really wants to get into the Kingston market, as it would expand their reach into eastern Ontario and would create an instant top rivalry with the Skyhawks.
The only issue (and a big one at that) is finding an owner. It's a very frustrating situation for us basketball fans in Kingston (And there are a lot of us!)

Ah, yes, that does seem difficult. You'll find one, don't worry. Just cross those fingers!
