NBLC Team to Thorold? (Niagara Region)

Here is an interesting report out of Thorold; a pair of Niagara businessmen, Michael Skrtich and Richard Petko are looking to bring an NBLC franchise to the region. The article doesn't state if it would be an expansion franchise, or if it could perhaps be the currently dormant league owned Montreal franchise.
While one would assume the league would be very interested in a franchise in the Niagara region, you would have to think that a small town with an old undersized arena is not a very attractive prospect for the growing league. Personally I question the sanity of Skrtich and Petko of evening wanting to bring a team to Thorold.
Now...Niagara Falls or St Catharines are a different story and would be great for the league, particularly St Catharines. I'm even going to throw it out there that the league should be keeping a VERY close eye on Buffalo. Don't forget that Buffalo once had an NBA team so the basketball culture is there, not to mention that the city of Buffalo without a doubt has some of the best sports fans in North America; they just need a stable owner in a stable league. (Currently Buffalo is home to the 716ers of the PBL...yes THAT league. )
Anyway...I'm sure the league is very eager to break into the Niagara/Western New York market...I just hope it's not in a small town where town council has concerns about the Jr B hockey team's home game dates being moved around.

I like the idea of the region. Would they be interested in moving a little further to the East in Hamilton???
