A message from Lightning GM regarding the Eddie Smith trade:
The Eddie Smith decision was solely a business decision for the Lightning, and on behalf of the entire organization we would like to wish Eddie all the best in Laval. Eddie is a very good player and it was a difficult decision to let him go. Laval made him an offer that he couldn't refuse. With the NBL of Canada salary cap and our current roster situation, it was virtually impossible to make it work here in London. We are very excited about the upcoming training camp and we look forward to introducing all of our future players to our fans very soon.
