London Lightning leaving the NBLC?
Well, it looks like it's your move, Riley, McCarthy and Levingston. If the Lightning do switch leagues, the NBLC is surely done like dinner. (And I take no glee in saying that, because I LOVE this league...but this is complete bush league BS!)

This is why we need a new commissioner. Riley's not doing anything about this. We need a new commissioner as soon as possible.
Also, I wonder will the Lightning will go if they do decide to leave. What other leagues can London go to?

Hopefully it does not happen, but quite honestly the Lightning would be a prime franchise for the NBA D League

Ooh, yeah, I don't know about that. Seems a little risky. It could work though.

Re: London Lightning leaving the NBLC?
Why do you think it would be risky?
The Lightning average attendance is above the average attendance of the D League. And geographically speaking if you take a look at where D League teams are placed, London would fit almost perfectly in to their east division.
And keep in mind that the Raptors are in need of a D League affiliate....
I don't WANT this to happen, but if I were the league I would be very concerned about pushing a top flight owner like Vito Frijia to the point where he beings to look at his options; because it doesn't take a genius to figure out that if the Lightning leave the NBLC, the league is DONE.

Re: London Lightning leaving the NBLC?
it would be risking for London to jump tho the NBA D-League. By far they are the best attended and popuar and among the top teams on the court.
Being a Canadian product they would be more likely to have even more success all around with the young NCAA players from Ontario beginning to graduate and will begin to find their way the the NBLC opposed to going overseas.
The National team is taking some young Canadian players who are just pro eligible this season on their Euro tour. Highlighted by the brothers at Carleton who would benefit from turning pro in Ottawa and being more closely evaluted for the future National team.
